Summer Time Fun!

But I really need to do a fancier journal one of these days with features and all that crazy shit. So many awesome works and friends to show off on DA. But I digress.

Life

So anyway I've finally graduated, woo officially an adult now. Full on Advertising graduate, with no job. I've also moved back home... which isn't exactly the most exciting part. It's fantastic to see all my friends and get into some shenanigans again, but kind of stifling moving from 3 years of freedom to rules at every corner.

But I'm making it out to sound horrible, really I love my home, my family and my backyard.. (once we get the pool back in). Now for a paying job..

Contest?

So I'm thinking of starting a tattoo contest sooner or later (lets be honest, most likely later.) I've been wanting a tat for ages now but never could decide on how it should look, what style blahblah. The only constant thing was the subject itself; a phoenix. So I'm thinking of offering some cool DA prizes for designing a tat that could potentially be inked onto my body!

What do you think? Any ideas/suggestions/advice for getting attention for this as making it a contest people would want to enter?

First and foremost I have, have, have to give out a HUGE hug and thank you to :iconephargy: . :hug: :love: :w00t: and a :hump: for good measure.

Apparently in a little chatroom far, far away called #love4artfun you can win a 3 month subscription for just being there.. and saying/doing the secret thing for that month! Who knew?!

Besides the awesomeness that is my new subscription. I have been so busy trying to gather my portfolio together, write and design a beautiful resume, website, etc etc. Hopefully I'll have my meetings for my placement next week sometime.

At some point I'll be putting up my work from school here on DA. Probably during the time I should be doing something else. haha Oh well, isn't that just the way it goes?

Anyway, enough about my less-than-exciting life.

Yes believe it or not. Its summer time in this country I call home. Currently I'm back at home from living in Ottawa, long story... and even though I have time to tell it, I won't. lol

Update on the quick:
-Last year of college coming up
-Working on my designing for job
-Got a new kitten, Belle!
-Don't have anywhere to stay in Ottawa for my last year of school

Ps. If anyone is looking for a Advertising/Graphic Design student to work for them next spring, I'm available! I will at some time post some of my work I've done in school on here.

Hopefully I can keep my creative juice flowing for the rest of the summer and get them ready for school.

Mm... So I haven't updated in a long time. Not like anyone reads this haha!

Well anyway, first off I'm a little bitter at my family right now. So, while I'm off at College they happen to think that they can just take off to Dominican Republic with out me? I don't think so! But yet, am I going? No. Should I be going? Yes. Ha, and the catch is I have a week of no classes the week they are going! Ironic? I think so.

Right. Nothing I can do about that.. besides HAVE A HUGE PARTY WHILE THEY ARE GONE! Mwhahaha..ha.. Thats if I go home. I haven't decided yet.

I actually like school. Yes, you don't hear that very often but its true. I actually look forward to going to some classes. I think I choose a good career path for myself (I hope). The best part is that I get to do creative things! That's what I like! For example, right now I am making a sweeet ass CD cover for a band of my choice for one of my classes. She pretty much gave us free reign over this one, so I am going all Photomanip on it. Haha. Oh, I am making it for The Band Apart. Not that anyone has probably heard of them but thats alright! (PS. Cool asian punk/rock band)

Not much else to write. I'll probably see you in a couple months. Maybe by then I'll have some more art uploaded. Right. :D

I start classes today...

That says it all.

Well, mostly. Haha.

Moved to Ottawa, in Res right now. Very, very cold. XD Only cause I can't changed my AC, its stuck at 22. Brrrr

So my first two classes for my program are today, I saw the classrooms already and they seem relatively small to what I thought they were going to be. Hopefully I'll meet some cool people, though I think I was invited to a 'ghetti dinner... lol Who knows if thats gonna work out.

Haha, my showerhead squeaks >< it's funny, but also annoying when your half asleep trying to wake up.

Right.. off to huddle under my blankets until class time.
